Local food and drink craftsmen celebrated at Fresh’s fifth birthday party

Since opening its doors in 2011, Fresh has been proud to be part of Shepperton with its thriving community of people and businesses. Its fifth anniversary was celebrated on Saturday 30th January by a party with a difference: a free taste fest to reward members for their support and put them in touch with some fantastic local brands and products.

Friends of Fresh enjoyed a relaxed winter warmer of an evening, with live music, a pop-up bar, and ‘wine, cheese and more’ provided by local food and drink craftsmen.

Fresh was delighted to welcome and host James of Shepperton, Brown Bag Crisps and Majestic Wine, all presenting samples and insight into their award-winning specialities. Guests also enjoyed a naughty-but-nice Belgian chocolate fountain (with healthy fruit kebabs!).

James of Shepperton

Brown Bag Crisps

Brown Bag Crisps are delicious potato crisps with award-winning natural seasonings, brought to you by a small family-run company in Shepperton – who are also Fresh members.

Phil and Viv are proud to have won six Great Taste Awards. “Our crisps have taken many sleepless nights to perfect. It all started in our kitchen, where Phil could be found until the small hours cooking, seasoning potatoes and creating recipes. Our ethos is to produce delicious hand cooked potato crisps where the taste and crunch are never compromised.”

The popularity of Brown Bag Crisps has skyrocketed and they are now sold in hundreds of outlets up and down the country including Harrods, John Lewis hampers, Royal Windsor Farm Shop, Rick Stein’s outlets in Padstow, COOK stores nationwide and Daylesford Organic.
